How Renteric Was Born: From Frustration to Solution
The chaos of spreadsheets and paper receipts
It all started a few years ago, when I found myself managing three apartments in Buenos Aires. At first it seemed straightforward: collect rent, renew leases, handle the occasional repair. But reality was very different. I had an Excel spreadsheet for payments, a WhatsApp group for each tenant, contracts in a Google Drive folder that was never organized, and utility bills and expense receipts piled up in a drawer. Every month-end was a headache: cross-referencing data, chasing bank transfers, and trying to figure out whether I was making or losing money.
Tools that didn't fit
I searched for existing solutions and found two worlds. On one side, American platforms designed for property managers with hundreds of units, priced in dollars and completely out of reach for a small landlord in Argentina. On the other, outdated local systems with no support for digital payments, no modern interface, and zero automation. None of them understood the reality of a Latin American landlord who needs to invoice with a CUIT tax ID, handle CPI-based rent adjustments, and collect payments via MercadoPago or bank transfer.
The decision to build something of my own
That's when I made the decision: if the tool I needed didn't exist, I would build it myself. I didn't want another generic SaaS translated into Spanish. I wanted a platform designed from scratch for landlords managing 1 to 10 units, with:
- A Spanish-first interface with full English support.
- Integrated rent collection via MercadoPago and bank transfer.
- Lease structures that comply with Argentine rental law.
- Support for CUIT, monotributo, and local tax requirements.
- A clear dashboard showing at a glance how much you collected, spent, and kept.
Built for landlords, by a landlord
Renteric was born from a real need. It wasn't a theoretical exercise or a lab project. Every feature, every screen, every flow was designed based on what I personally needed to stop wasting time and start managing my properties professionally. From the step-by-step onboarding to the profitability reports that show whether your investment makes sense, everything is built to make rental management simple.
A platform that grows with you
Today Renteric is a complete platform: property and unit management, digital leases, automated rent collection, expense and maintenance tracking, financial reports, tenant portal, and owner portal. And the best part: it's free for your first unit. Because we believe every landlord deserves professional tools, whether they have one or ten apartments. This is our story, and it's just beginning.
